Requirements

  • Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification

  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months

  • CPI training is an asset**

  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset, insured vehicle is mandatory

  • Previous experience providing personal care and support to clients in home or community settings

  • Satisfactory professional references

  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgement and tact in handling confidential matters

  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong commitment to quality care

  • Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
